The East Terrace is one of the main seating areas in the garden, a large terrazzo-tiled area raised a few metres above the Terraces giving a wonderful view over the garden and out across the Mesogeion plain to the mountains and sea beyond. The space is dominated by a large white Banksian rose, Rosa banksiae var. banksiae which frames the seating area and creates a green tunnel over a wood and metal pergola that runs along the ramp that leads to the Woodland bed and the Terraces.
